Clinical supervision with a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor is available for groups and/or individuals. The cost is in addition to the workshops. Please call the Association to determine how many hours of supervision you need. Some of our instructors provide clinical supervision. Please call us for more specific information.

CBPS is approved by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners to sponsor Category I continuing education programs Recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. NBCC Provider # 5763. Approved by the Maryland Board of Psychology to sponsor Category A continuing education programs. Approved by the Association for Play Therapy to offer continuing education programs specific in play therapy. Provider #97-034. Approved by the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California to offer CEUs for MFCC and LCSW. Approval # PCE 1466. CBPS maintains responsibility for the training.

Each full day of training offers six CEUs (9am - 4:30pm). Certificates are awarded at the end of the training or mailed to participants. These certificates will contain the number of CEUs awarded.

The Association for Play Therapy located in Fresno, California offers Registered Play Therapy credentials to licensed mental health clinicians. In order to obtain credentials, 150 hours of play therapy training, in addition to clinical supervision is required. Content of training includes history, theory, techniques/methods, and the application of play therapy to special populations and in special settings. In addition, there are specific requirements that must be met before obtaining credentials. Please contact the Association for Play Therapy for more specific written information. After completing 150 hours of training, a certificate of completion is awarded by CBPS.
